Big Blue Live celebrates a wildlife success story and marine animal phenomenon: humpback whales, blue whales, sea lions, elephant seals, sea otters, great white sharks and more all convene in Monterey Bay once a year.

PBS and the BBC team up for this live three-night event, direct from the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary in California. For an hour each night, Big Blue will gather scientists, filmmakers, photographers and marine animal experts, all for one purpose: to film and greet the marine creatures who either live in or return to the bay every year.
