Tonight we will be conducting the City’s first monthly radio drill from our Emergency Response Container at the Tot Lot on Spray Avenue.

Stop by and see us or check in on the air from home or an evening walk on the beach. Our emergency container recently had solar panels installed and we now have a base radio that can be used as a relay station for most of the Monterey Peninsula.

Del Monte Beach is the selected location for a radio relay point if there is a coastal incident.

Show some pride in you neighborhood and check in. Monday at 8pm on CERT channel #3.

In a real disaster emergency teams will check in at our neighborhood container with radio reports.

In a real disaster the Neighborhood Captain would be the one to contact the City’s Emergency Operations Center long distance with a base radio on Channel #3 with critical information. You will be dependent on your neighborhood container for information.
