The festival runs Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Del Monte Beach in Monterey.

Organizers are setting up volleyball courts on the sand of Del Monte Beach and water polo nets in the ocean for the first-ever Monterey Beach Sportsfest.

The festival is free and meant to encourage people to come out and play in the ocean.
